Ellison Protocol built the BrothBuddy app as a freemium application. This service is provided by Ellison Protocol and is intended for use as is.BrothBuddy is a wellness and lifestyle app. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional about your health, diet or any medication.Information We Collect During onboarding, BrothBuddy asks for your age, gender, current and goal body type, activity level, dietary preference, fasting experience and goals, and optional details such as cravings and sleep quality. BrothBuddy does not ask for your weight.Within the app, we collect what you log, including:Broth, water, collagen and electrolyte logs
Fasting sessions and streak data
Gut check-ins, mood and sleep entries
Progress photos you choose to addWe use a randomly generated anonymous device ID to sync your data. We do not collect your name, email address or other personally identifiable information unless you choose to provide it, for example by emailing us. We do not collect location data.How We Use Your Information We use your information only to provide and improve BrothBuddy, including showing your progress, streaks and wellness index. We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. BrothBuddy has never shown ads and never will.AI Features (Optional) Brock Ellison is an AI guide, not a person. AI features stay off until you allow them.When you turn on AI tips, BrothBuddy sends the fasting, broth and check-in data needed for a response to our AI providers, OpenAI and Anthropic. We never send your name or contact details.You can turn AI tips off anytime in Profile › AI Tips. Our AI providers process this data under their API terms, which state that API data is not used to train their models by default.Data Storage and Security Your data is stored on your device and synced to our backend servers hosted by Neon (PostgreSQL). We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for data in transit. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. This permanently deletes your broth logs, fasting history, check-ins, streak data, collagen logs, progress photos and profile information from your device, and cannot be undone.To request deletion of data synced to our servers, or a copy of your data, email [email protected]. We will process your request within 30 days.You can turn off notifications at any time in your device settings.
